Reliance or resistance
In a new series of works, Yulianna Verba explores the subtle, almost invisible realm of internal choice — the moment when we decide, every day, every moment, to rely or to resist.
These paintings are like a state, like an invitation to a dialogue with ourselves.
The artist speaks the language of symbols, color, and rhythm, however, the focus of her attention is on the psychic and spiritual dynamics of a person: where tension ends and trust begins, where resistance turns into a ground for acceptance and resources.
Through various images, Yulianna poses the question to the viewer:
What is support for you? And what has become a habitual, but imperceptible resistance that exhausts?
Under each work, the artist leaves space — a field of reflection, an invitation to pause internally. The viewer can independently feel where his attention is directed: to what supports or to what restrains. After all, attention is the most powerful tool for creating reality.
The series Reliance or resistance is a gentle but profound reminder:
We always have the opportunity to choose our state, and it is this that shapes our internal landscape, and later our external one.
