Cyberdreams
I was born in 2001 and grew up alongside technologies that changed faster than I could grow up. Being born at the beginning of the 21st century made me a witness to technological progress and significantly shaped my worldview. Watching technologies, the creation of which once would have taken a century, now emerge in just a year makes me dream of the world of the future.
Over the past 300 years, humanity has made a leap from agriculture and craftsmanship to personal assistant robots in digital devices. This happened in stages but at an impressive speed. Considering this trend, I wonder how far this development will take us and what we should expect from the future. Could the digital world break through the boundaries of reality, go beyond screens, and become a part of our world, existing directly alongside us?
In the project Cyberdreams, I explore the contemporary world where technology and reality merge into a single whole. Each work combines elements of scientific diagrams, data visualization, and the human form to depict a sphere where technology and humanity are inseparably connected. The virtual world does not merely surround a person - it shapes our thoughts, dreams, and self-perception. Thanks to the constant flow of data and the availability of digital tools, technology is no longer perceived as something separate - it becomes part of our inner world, transforming the way we think and express ourselves. This series of works illustrates how humans and the digital world interact to create a new form of coexistence.
The process of creating these works is also a manifestation of the idea of the cyber world. I start with a digital sketch, and by transferring it onto canvas, I transform the virtual image into a material object. Combining traditional materials, such as acrylic paints, with digital stylization allows me to create the illusion of a digital image on canvas.
I will probably not live to see the real cyber world, so I paint it for my contemporaries - and to inspire future scientists to create such a world.
